Oh Dare Wright, where have you been all my life?
A fashion model, Wright lived with her overbearing and controlling mother for her whole life. And then some time in the late 1950s, she started writing and illustrating children’s books called The Lonely Doll, that featured creepy scenes of her favorite doll in various scenarios.
